It's way way way way lower at the box office. It could be on for half the size of Rogue One. Movie itself is fine. Super-vanilla but given that you're all set for a car crash after what we heard it definitely isn't that. I'm not sure there's much in it that's especially memorable, but it doesn't do much to upset you either. -

As a SW fan, regardless of your thoughts on Kennedy or TLJ, is it right to constantly talk down the movies and even call it the incorrect name? If the movie fails there may be no more after ep9. Do you really want that? Solo is exactly the film we need right now, a light hearted swashbuckling romp in the SW universe which might recapture the original trilogy. -

It will probably open about 2/3rds of Rogue One, but finish up around half RO for the full run. There's no point comparing it to TFA/TLJ. Attendances for the midnights were well below Justice League.

I think it's sure to lose money, and Disney know it. They've not wasted much money marketing it, that's throwing good money after bad, just let it die and learn the lessons for next time.

This movie is offensive it's not made for fans it's made to push an agenda that's at its heart discriminatory and racist. Given the poor quality of Disney movies star wars dying would be a mercy, but it still owes Disney billions so it's going no where. Well given box office results the answer is no, no one is going to solo it's already failed in China and other markets. Heard reports of cinemas in new York having as few as ten people in a screening. One cinema in London had a grand total of three guys.
