Riding Horse and Torch

If i have the "Riding Horse" and the "Torch" in the dungeon,

Do i need to declare before i roll 2 dice if it is for the"Riding Horse" or for the "Torch" or i can roll 2 dice and the see if i want one of them or the 2 of them together?

Need to declare before rolling.
