The Vector title says that after a maneuver you can deploy 4 ships instead of 2. But as I read the rules, my understanding is that normally you can only deploy 1 ship at a time. So which one is right? Deploy 1 ship or 2 ships?
Thanks.
Gozanti Vector title brings up a question about deploy
Normally, it's 2 ships, but 1 at a time (ship #1, followed by ship #2). This title says you deploy 4 ships, 1 at a time.
The Gozanti ship card specifically says when and how many ships you deploy. ![]()

Damnit, that's right. Because I was checking in the rules and nowhere it says 2 ships... so I was wondering why.

It's a character named Vector from Despicable Me.
EDIT: Ninjaed, so I'll talk topic instead.
Vector overall seems like the weakest of the three titles, which is fine since its also only two points. The ability to either bump two deployed ships to PS8 for a round, or to strip tokens from enemy ships with a Target Lock, both seem like they'd be far more powerful. The +1 energy capacity from Vector is probably more valuable than the deployment buff.

His name is Vector. He is dancing in space.
That's Vector, deploying his ties.

If I was the bridge officer on the Vector, pushing the button to release all 4 TIEs would get me dancing too.
Oh oh oh oh ok! ha ha ha wow yeah I should know that.
Exactly, Right?
Seems like a more efficient way to deploy all ships at once would be Rear Admiral Chiraneau (crew) or Engine Booster. Either lets you execute an extra maneuver, so you could deploy 2 ships with your normal maneuver and the other 2 ships with your extra maneuver.
And those ships take an action and and can shoot that turn?

You would need to be careful not to run over the first two if you deploy them to the front, but yeah.
Would chiraneau work? Can u do the same action twice in a round?

Deploying from the gozanti isn't an action, it is a triggered event after executing a maneuver.
That's an... interesting interaction.
I wonder if they thought of it, or whether that little stunt slipped past their radar. ![]()
Vector, oh yeah!!!
It's two points for +1 Energy (I'll admit I don't know how relevant the energy limit is since I haven't gotten to fly my transport or raider yet, but still, I imagine it's a nice benefit), and if you ever need to deploy 3+ ships in a turn, you can.
Regarding the use of RAC- You could also use him to deploy all the ties out the back without risking running anyone over. Not going to be useful every time, but if you've got something on your tail, 4 ties popping out of nowhere is a nasty surprise!

Efficient is relative, though. Chirpy is three points, takes up one of your two Crew slots, and uses your action for the turn. Engine Booster is also three points, uses up your only empty Cargo slot (the other one is tied up by the Docking Clamps) and consumes 1 energy to use.
Not only is Vector only two points, but it actually raises your energy cap to match your total shields, making it ideal for Recover actions.

Of course - if you also had The title, you could move, then move, and finally move again - then release all 4.

Nice! I hadn't considered that but you're absolutely right.
Particularly useful if you want to deploy your ships with a K-Turn, and the ships you are carrying have only one speed of K-Turn - like Bombers
Any of the three options to 'clear the decks' are nice to have, but I think Vector - as noted - is generally the best. The problem is what it's competing with to get that - the other titles are nasty ones, too.
Suppressor is terrifyingly nasty with huge ships moving last. Paired with Tarkin, you can strip a TIE interceptor completely of tokens before the shooting starts....
Requiem..... it'd depend what the four ship's you're launching are. I don't think four TIE fighters are going to scare people in an epic game, regardless of pilot skill. Three Gamma Squadron Veterans and Captain Jonus, on the other hand.....
